Heroes. Survivors. Pilots. Traitors.

THE CAST

Meet the people standing between humanity and the end of the world.

MEET THE TEAM
Tom Jarose as Commander Dax Rourke

Played by Tom Jarose

COMMANDER
DAX ROURKE

Reluctant hero. Seasoned commander. Formidable hook.

Commander Dax Rourke had finally traded the battlefield for a quiet life—until the machines revolted and civilization began to burn. A seasoned commander, reluctant hero and survivor of more missions than he cares to remember, Dax possesses the experience, stubbornness and dry wit needed to lead humanity’s last stand.

His cybernetic right arm and signature metal hook make him formidable in a fight—but it is his loyalty, judgment and determination that make him the man everyone turns to when the world falls apart.

“So much for retirement.”

ABOUT TOM JAROSE

In his starring debut, Tom Jarose brings authenticity, understated humor and unmistakable presence to the role of Dax Rourke. Those qualities required very little acting. Throughout a remarkable career in public service, Tom earned the respect of his colleagues through his knowledge, leadership, friendship and unwavering willingness to help others.

Dax may be the hero who saves the world, but Tom is the real reason this story exists. His mission may be ending, but the example he set—and the lives he influenced along the way—will endure long after the final scene.

Jenna Vale overlooking the burning city

Identity classified

JENNA VALE

Survivor. Ally. Catalyst.

Resourceful, intelligent and fiercely independent, Jenna Vale has survived the machine uprising by trusting her instincts, her skills and very few people.

When the machines seize control, Jenna discovers evidence of a hidden vulnerability buried deep within their network. The information could end the war—but reaching it requires the help of one reluctant, retired commander.

Jenna tracks Dax Rourke to his bunker and draws him back into the fight. Her sharp instincts, dry humor and refusal to be intimidated make her one of the few people capable of keeping Dax alive—and perhaps the only one capable of reminding him what he is still fighting for.

But Jenna carries secrets of her own, including a mysterious connection to the technology that brought civilization to its knees.

“Need a hand?”

THE WOMAN BEHIND JENNA

Very little is known about the performer portraying Jenna Vale. She provided no formal biography, declined all publicity and reportedly arrived on set already knowing the complete shooting schedule—including scenes that had not yet been written.

Her name appears in no casting announcement, and production personnel disagree about who hired her. She is identified in official materials only as Jenna.

When asked about working with Tom Jarose, she offered one statement:

“Tom never needed anyone to tell him how to lead. He simply showed up, did the work and made everyone around him better. Dax may be the hero of this story—but Tom has been one for a very long time.”
William Shatner as Director Silas Vane

William Shatner as

DIRECTOR
SILAS VANE

The Architect of the Betrayal

Silas Vane designed the autonomous defense network that ultimately turned against humanity. When the machines seized control, Vane didn’t resist—he negotiated.

In exchange for access codes, military intelligence and the locations of the remaining resistance cells, the machines granted him protection inside their command tower. Vane insists he didn’t betray humanity; he merely recognized the inevitable before everyone else.

Once Dax Rourke’s commanding officer and trusted mentor, Vane knows exactly how Dax thinks—and which old wounds to exploit.

“Survival isn’t betrayal, Commander. It’s simply knowing which side has already won.”

ABOUT WILLIAM SHATNER

William Shatner is an award-winning actor, author, director, recording artist and enduring cultural icon whose remarkable career has spanned more than seven decades. Best known for his legendary portrayal of Captain James T. Kirk, Shatner has brought his unmistakable presence, commanding delivery and singular sense of humor to generations of film and television audiences.

In Embers of Passion, Shatner trades interstellar heroism for calculated betrayal as Silas Vane—a man who decided that if humanity couldn’t defeat the machines, the sensible thing was to join them.

FROM BEHIND THE EMBERS

“Tom Jarose is an extraordinary man. In all my years exploring strange new worlds, I have rarely encountered anyone with his patience, his judgment—or his ability to survive meetings that would have destroyed lesser men. Dax Rourke may save humanity, but Tom has already saved the rest of us more times than we’ll ever know.”
Ahmad Teimoori as Timmy beside his resistance aircraft

Ahmad Teimoori as

“TIMMY”

The Resistance’s Wildest Pilot

When the machines seized control of the skies, most surviving pilots stayed on the ground. Timmy stole an aircraft.

Now he flies the resistance’s last heavily modified transport—an aging machine held together by salvaged parts, questionable repairs and an unreasonable amount of confidence. Timmy specializes in low-altitude infiltration, impossible extractions and landing where no runway exists.

Dax trusts Timmy with his life. Jenna is still deciding whether that reflects well on either of them.

“Good news: I can land there. Bad news: I’m using the word ‘land’ very generously.”

ABOUT AHMAD TEIMOORI

Ahmad Teimoori is a longtime Albany restaurateur, an accomplished pilot and an important part of Tom Jarose’s own aviation story. His restaurant became a favorite gathering place for Tom and his friends, but their friendship eventually extended far beyond the dinner table.

Ahmad helped teach Tom to fly and guided him toward earning his pilot certification. In Embers of Passion, that history is reimagined on a considerably more explosive scale: Ahmad becomes “Timmy,” the daring resistance pilot trusted to carry Dax and Jenna through machine-controlled skies.

“Tom was an excellent student because he respected the airplane, paid attention and always wanted to learn. But more importantly, he became a wonderful friend. I may have helped teach Tom how to fly, but courage, judgment and loyalty were qualities he already possessed. Congratulations on your retirement, my friend. Your next adventure is cleared for takeoff.”
